Event Security & Safety Protocols

WDMT Event Center prioritizes guest safety, property protection, and responsible event management. For all events hosted at the venue, the company will implement a structured security protocol designed to protect guests, staff, and the facility.

Key safety measures includes:

  • Licensed security personnel will be present during larger or higher-capacity events.

  • Professional security guards will monitor entrances, parking areas, and guest flow throughout the event.

  • Guest capacity limits will be strictly enforced in accordance with local fire code and occupancy requirements.

  • Security personnel will assist with crowd control and safe event closure procedures.

  • Parking areas will be monitored to ensue safe guest arrival and departure.

    Security staffing requirements will vary depending on event size, with larger events requiring additional personnel. Security costs may be included in premium packages or passed through as an event-specific fee.

    These protocols ensure a safe, professional environment for all events and help protect the property owner’s asset.

Alcohol Service

WDMT Event Center will implement a controlled and responsible alcohol service policy that prioritizes compliance with Delaware regulations and protects both the venue and property owner from liability.

The venue will not operate as a bar or nightclub and will not sell alcohol directly to the public.

Instead, alcohol service will follow one of the following compliant models:

Clients who wish to serve alcohol must hire a licensed and insured caterer or professional bartending service that holds the appropriate alcohol permits under Delaware law.

Requirements include:

  • Valid liquor liability insurance from the vendor

  • Certified bartenders (e.g., TIPS certified)

  • Alcohol service limited to the duration of the private event.

  • No alcohol sales directly by the venue

$500 Security deposit is not included in the payment for the hall. It will be returned up to 10 business days after event if all policies were met.

Reservation Payments:

  • 25% due if more than 6 months out from event date

  • 50% due if 6 months out from event date

  • 75% due 90 days out from event date

  • 100% due 2 weeks out from event date

    Insurance:

    REQUIRED in order to rent our space.
